“Casa de mi Padre”

April 2, 2012

“The film is a parody of a Spanish western or telenovela. Will Ferrell’s outfit was a pivotal white suit – a good guy who saves the day. This look is the ultimate Mexican romantic hero. The ensemble screams I am heroic and sexy all simultaneously! It was inspired by the famous white suit that Gram Parsons wore [1969, designed by Nudie Cohen] but simplified with stretch polyester, bell bottom pants, and a bolero cut jacket with an Aztec calendar on the back and two snakes on the front.”
