Movie Night: A Conversation with the Costume Designer

CDG Movie Night is an event that brings together an audience of Guild members, colleagues, cinephiles, and costume students. The screening at the CDG includes a Q&A with the costume designer, with the costume team often in attendance. The dialogue is not limited to the process of the a single film but touches on other highlights of their career. The event closes with a reception where the audience can continue the conversation.

Get Involved

Much like setting up and wrapping a shoot, we are always in need of volunteers to help us set up Movie Night and then wrap out at the end of the evening. While we need muscle to help set-up chairs and tables, we also need your artistic eye to help oversee the event. You become one of the hosts. The catering needs to be laid out with flowers and our guests welcomed. Since Movie Night is a quarterly event, this is not a huge time commitment. The benefits of becoming part of our Movie Night family are numerous, most importantly the opportunity to share in a love of cinema and costume design with like-minded colleagues and students.

We are also looking for someone who can assist with our outreach, compiling our mailing lists and reaching out to new groups who may be interested in attending our event and growing our family.

Please email Movie Night chairs Mika and Jennifer at cdgmovienight@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
