The Costume Designers Guild Local 892’s President is the chief executive officer. Their leadership establishes and ensures the Executive Director, assistants, and executives perform their duties according to IATSE International Constitution and Robert’s Rules of Order. As liaison to the Executive Board, the President establishes the proposed agenda for, and presides at all General Membership and Executive Board Meetings.
Terry Gordon: 2022—Present
Salvador Perez: 2013—2022
Perez was a CDGA and Emmy nominated costume designer, working throughout his three-term presidency which resulted in greater visibility for the art of costume design. He is recognized as a champion of the successful CDG campaign for Pay Equity and the purchase of the CDG office building. Perez has served on the Costume Designers Guild Awards [CDGA] Committee since its inception and been an advocate of members utilizing technology and social media to establish their brands and connect directly with audiences. In 2025 he was honored with the 27th CDGA’s Distinguished Service Award.
Mary Rose: 2007–2013 Rose served two terms and broadened the CDG’s visibility within the Television Academy where she served multiple terms as Governor of the Costume Design & Supervision Peer Group.
